CAT ADOPTED FROM CAT CAFE INSPIRES HUMAN TO START CAT CAFE "PURR" - By Katniss, Cat Reporter
Augustus the cat knew he'd found his furever Human when she walked into the @Little Lions cat cafe in New York, says Gus, "She had a sadness about her." I overheard her tell someone that not too long ago, she'd lost all three of her elderly cats, one after another, and was heartbroken. She was convinced she could never love again-it was too painful." But she loved cats, so like many Humans who visit cat cafes, she came to get her "catfeine" as well as caffeine fix.
Gus had a feeling he could help. "I purred on the charm and soon had her smiling and agreeing
to open her heart again."
Once Gus moved in with his new Humom, he knew his work was not done. "The cat cafe had brought me to this pawsome new home, so I found myself wondering how many more Humans and cats could be brought together through cat cafes."
Gus' Meowmy was looking to start her own business, so he nudged her in the right direction. Through Gus' purrsuasion, his Meowther, who visited many cat cafes including Crumbs and Whiskers in Washington, D.C, agreed this was a business worth looking into. And thus, PURR was born. Just last week, they secured a location in the Boston neighborhood of Brighton. Says Gus, "It's my hope that PURR will bring cats and humans together with my Humom. People come for coffee and crumpets and if they're lucky, they may leave with a new best friend."
